Acorn threads arrived!

Everything has arrived for the Acorn crewelwork piece designed by Nicola Jarvis. This is a piece that will be in her one woman show at the William Morris Gallery in London from Saturday June 15, 2013 until Sunday September 22, 2013.The twill has the pattern already transferred onto it which is just great! I can get right into stitching after the twill is mounted onto the frame.  In addition to her pages of stitch instructions, she sent a highly detailed stitch diagram. This will be the clearest project I've done in some time! The threads are exactly what I want to be stitching with at this time of year - gorgeous fall colors. Mossy greens; autumn leaf orange/reds and a late evening sky blue.Lying next to the printed design I can see how this is going to look when I'm finished stitching it. Stunning, simply stunning. I am so excited to begin, to watch this fabulous design come to life as I stitch.Do you feel this excited when you begin a new project?
