What do YOU want to know?
The other day one of our community, Judie, wrote a comment that got me to thinking. She wrote "Wish I could be in your pocket. An experience of a lifetime. Thanks for sharing your talent and knowledge. Judie"As most of you know, I'm a teacher. Teachers are a lot of things, and are not all the same, but most of us are 'sharers'. We want to share knowledge, information, skills, tips and tricks, concepts, perspective, to name just a few. One of my colleagues when I was teaching in Qatar told me that if someone cut me open, all they would find was "teacher" inside. So thinking about going to the RSN Crewelwork course and not sharing it with all of you just doesn't seem like a good idea to me. So...Imagine you are in my pocket, can whisper questions to me secretly during the course and I'll find out the answers. I'm going to be busy learning and won't be able to think of all the things you would like me to ask or find out while I'm there. If you tell me first, though, I'll have a list and I can ask when the moment is right. And to encourage you to ask those questions you want answers to, I'm going to give away a brand new copy of the RSN Essential Guide to Crewelwork to one lucky reader, chosen at random. Here are the guidelines:You must leave a comment that includes the question you want me to ask or the information you want me to find out. If you have more than one question, please put a space between them in your comment so I can see each one clearly. The course covers crewel work, crewel stitches, color and design in crewelwork, transferring a design using pounce and using a slate frame so those are the only topics you may ask about. Please do not ask about silk shading or gold work or... I don't want to waste my teacher's time asking questions that aren't relevant to the course. You may also ask questions about the course and what it's like to take, the teachers, etc. and I will give you my opinion but remember, it will be my opinion and someone else may see things very differently from me!Comments will be closed on Sunday at 5:00 pm GMT. A winner will be chosen at random and announced on Monday. You will need to contact me via the contact page with your full name and address so I can post the book to you. I will notify the winner when the book is dispatched.Good luck, get your thinking caps on and remember, there's no such thing as a stupid question!
